NU conducts its competitive bid process by invitation only to pre-qualified bidders through an electronic sourcing tool known as eSourcing. If you would like to be considered for future business with NU, the following steps should be taken:
- Register in eSourcing.
Once you have registered and your registration has been confirmed, you will receive a user ID and password which will allow you to update your supplier information as needed, receive invitations to participate in competitive bidding opportunities, submit inquiries during a competitive bid and receive responses to those inquiries, and submit proposals and supporting documentation in response to an invitation to bid.
- Provide information to NU about the materials and/or services you provide.
Please provide us with current information about your business such as brochures, website information, a resume of clients or projects or other relevant material that describes what your firm has to offer. This can be provided through eSourcing, via e-mail directed to purchasing@nu.com or via U.S. mail at Northeast Utilities Corporate Purchasing, P.O. Box 270, Hartford, CT 06141-0270.
- Request a meeting or call with a Purchasing representative.
Contact us via e-mail at purchasing@nu.com, or phone to request a meeting or call to review your firm's capabilities, as well as NU’s current and/or anticipated needs.
As business needs arise, Purchasing representatives will work with our internal business clients to identify and qualify potential suppliers. You may be contacted and asked for additional information about your firm to aid in the pre-qualification process. Please note: Your registration in eSourcing does not guarantee that your firm will be invited to bid or awarded work!
To register as a potential supplier to NU, please submit our New Vendor Registration Form.
For suppliers who have already registered and have a username and password, please use our eSourcing System Vendor Login.
