Supplier Registry — eSourcing
(formerly Frictionless)

Our eSourcing System allows you to register and maintain your supplier information at Northeast Utilities. Once you have registered, and have been accepted, you will receive a user ID and password which will allow you to receive electronic Requests for Quotation and Reverse Auctions while being able to electronically communicate with our Commodity Owners.

To register as a potential supplier to NU, please submit our New Vendor Registration Form.

For suppliers who have already registered and have a username and password, please use our eSourcing System Vendor Login.

NU's Purchasing Department has implemented this sourcing software to advance its e-procurement process, which will standardize the RFP (request for proposal) process at NU. The software, by eSourcing, makes it easier to do the following:

  • review all current bids and their status;
  • engage requesters to actively participate in the bid evaluation and decision-making process;
  • allow new vendors to self register with NU;
  • and allow our current suppliers to correct and update vendor information.

It also permits purchasing personnel to perform the entire bid process electronically, allow online collaboration with requesters, and allow reverse auctions as a post-bid negotiations process.

For more information, please submit the Purchasing Contact form.

Refer to the following documents for more information about eSourcing at NU.
