Northeast Utilities offers our employees choices on meeting their personal benefits needs. Under this program, employees are the ones making the decisions about their benefits. They can choose from different kinds and levels of benefits that are right for them.

We offer a 401k plan that includes tax-deferred savings immediately upon hire, company-matched contributions after 6 months, and convenient payroll deductions. Employees have a choice of over 20 investment options and the opportunity to change their elections as often as they like.
Employee Share Purchase Plan
After one year of employment, employees are eligible to participate in a program to purchase Northeast Utilities shares at a discount.
Education Reimbursement and Training Programs
In addition to a program that reimburses eligible employees up to 75% of the cost of tuition and fees, Northeast Utilities offers extensive in-house training in a number of areas. Our Information Technology Learning Center, for example, provides all levels of computer training, whether in the classroom, on location, or in a self-directed environment.
Credit unions offer a wide variety of financial services to employees of Northeast Utilities. Branch offices are situated at our larger sites.
Child Care Referral Services
If you need information and assistance to help you find child care arrangements that meet your family’s needs, Northeast Utilities provides free and confidential referral services in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire to help you with child care service information.
